The Knox County Archives provides information and records pertaining to the official permanent government records of the county. Our records date from 1792 to the present and include marriage, divorce, probate, deeds, tax, and other court records. Public access to our non-restricted records is available during normal business hours and copies can be made (certified or regular) for a fee.
Archives Notes
Historians, genealogists and all others desiring access to our records are welcome. Laptops and other research materials can be used in our facility but use of digital cameras and recording media to copy our records is restricted. We are an agency of the Knox County Public Library System under the Office of the County Mayor.
