Records of the Administrator of Elections; maps, parcel cards & files of the Assessor of Property; court files, including probate, general sessions, juvenile, criminal, circuit & chancery courts (includes wills, guardianships, adoptions, civil and criminal proceedings, divorces, etc); marriage licenses, birth & death records, various bound books, Minute Books of the various courts, Minutes of the County Legislative Body maintained by the County Clerk, Deed Books & Miscellaneous Books and maps maintained by the Register of Deeds; Tax books maintained by the Trustee;& a variety of other records.
All records maintained in officeholder’s offices in the Courthouse, Highway Department & Sheriff’s Department may be accessed by the public during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00 p.m.). Records currently stored in the Jail Annex are in fair condition and are accessed by the various officeholder’s or their staff and provided to the public in a timely manner.
